Caribbean 63

Thank you for your interest in the Caribbean 63 commercial catamaran.  This power cat, being built at the Cooper Marine Yard in St. Petersburg, is a state-of-the-art fiberglass composite catamaran.   The Caribbean 63 meets the need for comfort, speed, stability and economy in the day-charter market – and at a remarkable price. The hull and deck are each one piece molded fiberglass parts that are constructed using the latest composite materials for maximum strength and low maintenance.  The principal dimensions are as follows:

All exterior deck surfaces have a gel coat finish, nonskid finish or carpet is also available.  Each transom has molded-in swim steps and a swim platform for easy water access.  The vessel can be constructed without steps if the vessel is for use as a head boat or fishing vessel.  Steering is from the centrally located steering station, which provides a low profile and low center of gravity.  Custom console placements are available.

The basic  vessel is set up for standard straight shaft diesel power.  Twin 315 hp Yanmar diesels provide a loaded cruising speed of 16 knots.  With 465 hp Yanmars, the cruising speed increases to 20 knots, and with the 530 hp Yanmars the loaded cruise is 23 knots.(speeds may vary with load and sea conditions).

The base vessel can be U.S.C.G. certified for 49 passengers; all construction meets or exceeds U.S.C.G. standards.  With the addition of two watertight bulkheads and a bilge piping system, the vessel can be certified for 149 passengers.  The base price for the

All custom deck arrangements are quoted separated.  This vessel can easily be adapted to many uses, including dive charters, dinner cruises, ferry operations, cruise ship tenders, fishing, snorkeling or excursions. With the addition of the second deck the certification can be increased to 149 passengers in U.S. waters and 250 passengers in non-U.S. waters.
